Encapsulation Cleaning for Carpets

What is an Encapsulation Cleaning Solution?

Encapsulation cleaning (Encap) uses an encapsulation chemical solution (developed using synthetically blended molecules) to get deep down into the fibres of the carpet on application and lift the dirt. The encapsulation solution does exactly what its name suggests and encapsulates, surrounds and captures, the particles of dirt safely inside the solution ready for removal by rotary pad.

How do we apply  the encapsulation solution to carpets?

The Encap solution is applied to the carpet using a simple pump sprayer, as we mentioned before this gives us total control over the coverage area and saturation levels. Because this technique is a low moisture way of cleaning carpets we never want to over wet the area and the low pressure pump spray helps achieve this. Doing it this way we have a very short dwell time before the next stage of the cleaning process, the agitation and opening up of the fibres.

What does the Oxidizer do to lift those organic stains?

Built into the encapsulation solution we have an advanced biodegradable oxidizer which gives an extra lift to organic stains inside the fibres. Normal food, drink and other organic stains that litter carpets are one of the main culprits for that dulling effect you find with the carpets colour.

The oxidizer suspended in our encap solution breaks down the organic stain by making the original residue more water soluble using a chemical reaction, this new compound is much easier to extract with our rotary system. Carpets will appear much brighter and their original colours much more vibrant as even micro stains you would never recognise as stains are lifted.

What does the Anti-Soiling agent do to keep carpets cleaner for longer?

One of the properties we always look for with premium Encap solutions is the ability for the prolonged resistance to soiling once our job is done. Making sure carpets stay clean is a real bonus not only for the customer but also for our reputation as a premium carpet cleaning business. The solution we use has an advanced polymer blend that penetrates the carpet fibres and protects them without leaving any noticeable residue, this makes the individual fibres much less likely to hold onto particles of dirt making them easier to dry vacuum.

Although our Encap solution is arguably the best on the market the anti-soiling protection that it (and all other premium solutions) offer will not last forever as the polymers attached to the fibres will naturally break down over time depending on many environmental factors.

Say goodbye to those stale carpet odours, how do I remove stale carpet odours?

One thing that we can’t see but affects us every day are those odours that carpets are so good at harbouring. Just get down on the floor and take a long deep smell of the average carpet and you’ll soon realise that what might well appear to be clean doesn’t smell the way it looks.

With our premium grade encapsulation solutions we not only remove soiling and stains but we also have built-in deodorising agents that don’t just cover up smells but actually eliminate them at their core.

Does encapsulation cleaning mean the dry time is shorter?

We do not need to over wet (saturate) the fibres to clean them using the encapsulation solution. The great thing about using the pump sprayed encap is the carpet fibres are not saturated with water but are cleaned thoroughly, thus drastically reducing the dry time to about 20 minutes.

Over wetting the area can cause many issues including the wicking of dirt and stains, held inside the carpet or upholstery backing, up to the surface to reappear as staining.
